    • Conducts market research and develops a good feeling for the market
    • Contracts with health care providers (hospitals and medical centers)
    • Builds up the Provider Network (determines the provider mix and distribution)
    • Manages and improves the medical network.
    • Develops and maintains policies & procedures for all administrative processes in the Dept.
    • Develops and introduces quality assurance programs and a fraud & abuse management process.
    • Develops and maintains monthly statistical reports to facilitate benchmarking and performance management in relation to business goals and objectives.
    • Produces periodical reports on the department's overall operations.
    • Reviews and compares periodic reports and suggests action plans to keep up with the required growth and profitability.
    • Ensures that policies and procedures are available and being followed by staff members.
    • Ensures that processes and procedures are coordinated with other departments.
    • Ensures that business decisions and processes are documented in a professional way.
    • Co-ordinates with other GIG-Kuwait operations with regard to benchmarking and 'best practices'.
