Joseph Varghese

I am a hard-working warehousing/logistics professional with 22+ years of experience running the efficient operation of company warehouses and distribution. My background has included managing/supervising staff, stock handling, maintaining inventory levels, loading/unloading, receipts and dispatches.

As a warehouse manager, I have managed a team of 150+ staff and am responsible for training, instructing and supervising. Many of my staff members are young and inexperienced so it is vital that I provide comprehensive training, maintain motivation levels and offer plenty of feedback, especially in regards to safety hazards. 

In addition, I am a highly organized person, with strong time management, decision-making and problem-solving skills. In my present position, as well as my previous position at Metric, my role involves balancing many responsibilities, including maintaining stock levels and providing on-floor customer service, in addition to staff management. I am required to priorities tasks and ensure that the warehouse is running smoothly at all times. 

My qualifications have provided a theoretical framework for my experience in the industry. I have a Bachelor of Commerce and I have completed many professional development courses to keep my skills updated.
