  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Plan, direct, coordination and manage in the provision of instrument & control maintenance in all aspect of maintenance, repair, shutdown preparation, troubleshooting and supporting to engineering for modification of Instrument & Control equipment in plants.
• Reviewing the P&ID, ILD, JB Layouts and all the maintenance assistance to the site.
• Ensure Instrument & control equipment’s operating efficiently as per company design and procedures.
• Undertake direct field supervision on engineers, Supervisors, senior Technicians & Vendor.
• Reviewing the Control Loops, Cascade Control, Split Range Control, Feedback Control, Feed forward control etc.
• Ensure availability, reliability and integrity of plant and instrument & control equipment, in line best maintenance techniques and engineering practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, root cause analysis and safety reviews and submit reports and recommendations accordingly.
• Conduct advanced safety audits and advanced maintenance audits on the team.
• Participate in meetings/ discussions and contribute to resolving issues towards avoidance of plant trip recurrences.
• Liaise and contact Team leaders planning, scheduling and turnaround department with Reviewing the I/O List, Instrument Index and Logic Narrative Diagrams (Cause and Effect) regard to shutdown preparation, to review on the method statement to achieve optimum quantity assurance. Reviews the schedule preparation with appropriate suggestion to avoid unnecessary delay for handover or commission of equipment’s.
• Assess the manpower requirement and propose supplementary manpower as required to manager.
• Demonstrate appropriate levels of knowledge and responsibility regarding technical and Operational integrity processes, delegate work responsibilities, assure development of subordinates in the job, stand as acting manager, I&C maintenance as when required. 
• Reviewing the I/O List, Instrument Index and Logic Narrative Diagrams (Cause and Effect).
• Control Instrumentation with special reference to Distributed Control System Optimization Techniques and Fault Tolerant Emergency Shut Down Systems.
• Develop a complete understanding of the Refinery operating facilities.
• Closely coordinate with plant operating personnel to provide services as required.
• Attend the Preventive, Breakdown, and shutdown activities in plant areas.
• Provide administrative leadership and technical guidance to the craftsman.
