Mr. Haytham El Tonsy currently working at The Al-Bayan Bilingual School, Kuwait as a High School Physical Education Teacher since September 2019. He is accountable for preparing annual programs to link learning experiences to physical activities, and issues related to health and wellbeing.
Previously, Mr. Haytham El Tonsy worked in The Gulf English School, Kuwait as Head of Physical Education in September 2017. He is accountable for preparing annual programs to link learning experiences to physical activities, and issues related to health and wellbeing.
Previously, Mr. Haytham El Tonsy worked in The British School, Alexandria as Head of Physical Education in August 2013. He is accountable for preparing annual programs to link learning experiences to physical activities, and issues related to health and wellbeing. Previously, Mr. Haytham was leading the After School Activities for the whole school, (ASAs) which form part of the British School's curriculum, and cover a range of areas including Sports, Creative Arts, Hobbies, and Academic subjects. Mr. Haytham overlooked and led the Whole School Improvement Plan in Physical Education, and personally launched the ISAAA (International Schools Activities Association of Alexandria), where a range of activities and events, such as debating competitions and the Model United Nations is shared between the 8 leading International Schools in the area.
Previously, Mr. Haytham worked at the American School of Alexandria for 16 years. In total, Mr. Haytham has over 24 years of experience across diverse organizational domains and enjoys creating a dynamic environment that motivates high performance among team members.
He was honored with the title of 'Egyptian National Champion' in running the 800m and 1500m from 1986 to 2000.
Additionally, he enjoyed the position of Egyptian National Female Under-16 Basketball Fitness Trainer (winning the prestigious African Basketball Competition in 2011) and was proud to train the Egyptian Girls' Under-19 Squash team for their win at the World Championships in 2003.
Outside of school, Mr. Haytham enjoys running along the Corniche in the early mornings, all kinds of music, and salsa dancing.
